Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how NajemAlert ("the Extension", "we", "us", or "our") handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The Extension operates entirely locally on your device and does not collect, track, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

1. Data Collection and Usage

The Extension does not collect, process, or sell any personally identifiable information (PII), financial details, browsing history, or user activity.

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All Extension data is processed and stored strictly on your local machine using standard Chrome Local Storage (chrome.storage.local):

• User Search Preferences: Parameters such as chosen cities, price limits, and search keywords configured within the popup interface.
• Listing Cache: Unique identifiers (IDs) of previously processed listings, stored locally to prevent duplicate desktop alerts.

None of this stored data ever leaves your computer or browser.

2. Browser Permissions Explained

The Extension requests only the minimal set of permissions required to perform its primary function:

• storage: Used strictly to save user-defined search parameters and listing history locally on your device.
• alarms: Used to schedule periodic background checks at user-defined intervals to fetch new rental listings efficiently.
• notifications: Used to display desktop alerts when new matching rental listings are detected.
• Host Permissions (olx.pl): Used exclusively to make direct HTTP requests from your browser to target real estate portal (olx.pl) to fetch and parse public rental listing data.

3. Remote Code Policy

The Extension does not use remote code, dynamically fetched scripts, external JavaScript libraries, or eval() calls. All code, icons, and background workers are 100% locally packaged within the Extension bundle.

4. Third-Party Interactions

When searching for new listings, the Extension sends standard HTTP GET requests directly to the public OLX API (https://www.olx.pl/api/v1/offers/). No user identifiers, tracking tokens, or personal data are included in these requests, and no third-party analytics services are integrated.

5. Security

Because all data remains strictly within your browser's local environment and no remote database is used, your information is protected by your local device security settings.

6. Premium Features and Payments (Coming Soon)

The Extension includes a planned Pro version. Currently, no payment processing is active. In future updates, payments will be securely handled by an external provider (e.g., Paddle), and the Extension will not store any financial data locally.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be reflected with a revised "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
